Dr. Tillman came to Logsdon in 2000 from the Baptist General Convention of Texas, where he was Coordinator of the Theological Education Committee. Previously he taught at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for 17 years after serving on the Christian Life Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention from 1977-1981. Dr. Tillman has authored, co-authored, or edited a number of volumes, including The Bible and Family Relations (1983), Christian Ethics: A Primer (1986), Perspectives on Applied Christianity: Essays in Honor of T.B. Maston (1986), Understanding Christian Ethics (1988), Introduction to Christian Ethics: Study Guide (1988), and AIDS: A Christian Response (1990). He has also written numerous articles for journals and periodicals. Dr. Tillman is a frequent speaker at conferences and workshops on Christian ethics, as well as national and international Baptist convocations. Dr. Tillman has been a public school teacher and served on church staffs. He has also served on the BGCT Christian Life Commission, and is actively involved in the boards of Abilene’s Habitat for Humanity and the T.B. Maston Foundation. Dr. Tillman currentely serves on the Bio-Ethics Committee at Hendrick Medical Center, Abilene.
