Abilene Campus

James re-joins the HSU family after serving most recently as the Associate Minister of Missions, Outreach and Evangelism at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church in Abilene. Stone’s ministry in Texas Baptist churches has also included service at First Baptist Church in Comanche (TX) and First Baptist Church in Terrell (TX). In addition, Stone served as a Teaching and Discipleship Pastor for an urban church planting team in St. Louis, MO. An ordained minister, Stone has authored missions curriculum for the Baptist General Convention of Texas, served as the Executive Director of a national youth missions camp, and has been a board member and consultant for several non-profit organizations. He has most recently served as a member of the BGCT Green Hat Committee. Stone previously served as the Missionary-In-Residence at Hardin-Simmons in 2000-2001. His spouse Meredith, who until February served as the Coordinator of Recruitment and Admissions for Logsdon, now serves as the Women in Ministry Specialist for the Baptist General Convention of Texas. James and Meredith have to girls, Hallie and Kinsey, and are members of First Baptist Church, Abilene.
