Dr. Baker joined the Logsdon faculty after serving as Pastor, First Baptist Church, Sun City West, Arizona, for more than a decade. Baker, a native of Louisiana, earned the Th. D. in Christian Ethics and Pastoral Care at Southwestern Baptist Seminary. Additionally, Dr. Baker has served as pastor in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Dr. Baker previously taught at Southwestern Baptist Seminary and Midwestern Baptist Seminary where he also served as Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty. He  has also served as an associate pastor and campus minister in Texas, and as interim pastor for churches in Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri. He is widely published and has conducted conferences and workshops throughout  the United States.
