Student Placement Services

A wide variety of services and resources are available to students and their churches through Logsdon’s Office of Ministry Placement. James Stone, Director of Church Relations, Congregational Resourcing and Ministry Placement for Hardin-Simmons University and Logsdon Seminary, is available to serve prospective and current students, alumni, and other ministers seeking ministry positions and churches seeking resumes from qualified candidates.

A few of the resources and services available to students seeking vocational placement assistance
include:

1. Assistance in evaluation and clarification of call and vocational ministry objectives
2. Assessment and inventory of ministry candidate skills, talents and abilities
3. Resume writing guidance and resources
4. Revision and review services for candidate resume development
5. Formal and informal distribution of resumes and names to churches requesting qualified
candidates
6. Connection with local, state and national ministry matching services and resources
7. Counsel for candidates as to the ministry search process, including information and techniques for
interviewing with search committees
