Placement & Congregational Resourcing

A wide variety of services and resources are available to students and their churches through
Logsdon’s Office of Placement and Congregational Resourcing. Mr. James Stone, Director of
Placement and Congregational Resourcing for Logsdon Seminary, is available to serve students
seeking ministry positions and churches.

A few of the resources and services available to students seeking vocational placement assistance
include:

1. Assistance in evaluation and clarification of vocational ministry objectives
2. Assessment and inventory of ministry candidate skills, talents and abilities
3. Resume writing guidance and resources
4. Revision and review services for candidate resume development
5. Formal and informal distribution of resumes and names to churches requesting qualified
candidates
6. Connection with local, state and national ministry matching services and resources
7. Publication of a “Ministry Placement Bulletin” listing open positions (published the 15th of each
month, available freely by email subscription only)
8. Counsel for candidates as to the ministry search process, including information and techniques for
interviewing with search committees.

A few of the resources and services available to churches seeking assistance with ministry
openings include:
1. Search committee process consultation and advisement
2. Assistance with ministry need and community resource inventories and surveys
3. Job description and candidate profile writing assistance
4. Position posting and resume solicitation assistance
5. Resume collection from qualified candidates.

Students interested in utilizing these and other services offered by the Office of Placement and
