Create, 2019 Texas Baptist Women in Ministry Conference

The 2019 Texas Baptist Women in Ministry Conference is to be held February 22, 2019 at Logsdon Seminary in Abilene.

The purpose of the conference is to encourage all who are called to or serving in ministry, and to facilitate conversations about advocating for women in leadership throughout the church.

The conference will include sessions, panel discussions, breakouts on topics related to women in ministry and ministry equipping, and networking opportunities.

Plenary Preacher

The Rev. Ellen Di Giosia
Senior Pastor, FBC Jefferson City, TN

The plenary preacher of the 2019 conference is Ellen Di Giosia, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Jefferson City, TN. A native Texan, Ellen is a graduate of Mississippi College and George W. Truett Theological Seminary. Before her current ministry role, she served in leadership at Woodland Baptist Church in San Antonio as Associate Pastor of Faith Formation in addition to previous ministry leadership at churches in Valley Mills and San Marcos. Di Giosia was the founding board chair of Texas Baptist Women in Ministry and has been a worship leader, panelist, and workshop speaker for Baptist Women in Ministry gatherings at the national level. Ellen is married to Tony, and has two kids, Gemma and Luca. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, knitting, and singing.
