Dr. Meredith Stone, PH.D.
Meredith J. Stone, director of ministry guidance and instructor of Christian ministry and scripture, joined the faculty of Logsdon School of Theology in the fall of 2014. The Ministry Guidance Office coordinates scholarships and grants for ministerial students and offers assistance in call clarification and ministry placement for students and alumni.
She received both her Bachelor of Arts (Bible) and Master of Arts (Religion) degrees at Hardin-Simmons. She also earned her PhD in Biblical Interpretation through Brite Divinity School of Texas Christian University.
She enjoys spending time with her family, golf, music, and serving as a deacon and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church in Abilene. She is currently on the Leadership Team of Baptist Women in Ministry and serves as chaplain for HSU’s Board of Young Associates. She is married to James Stone, Executive Director of University Relations for HSU, and they have two daughters.
