Kelvin Kelley, D.MIN

I joined the HSU faculty and team because of three factors: the vision of President Turner to influence a generation; the opportunity to expose and engage a learning experience that has greater influence than the content we teach; and the belief anything is possible. HSU provides the context whereby each of these dynamics is engaged daily. More importantly I am a product of HSU and saw this as an opportunity to fortify our relationship.

Dr. Kelvin J. Kelley has served as pastor of the Mount Zion Baptist Church (Brownwood, Texas) from January 1992 to October 1998. He served as pastor of the Mount Zion Baptist Church (Abilene, Texas) from November 1998 to February 2006. He is also the founder of the nonprofit FACES Ministries, Inc. This mentoring ministry is specifically designed to form an expanded perspective in college and high-school age young men. He has worked with local and regional men’s groups to develop similar experiences.
