Walter L Goodman, Jr is Director of Logsdon Seminary Programs in San Antonio and Assistant Professor of New Testament. He is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Physical Education/Recreation and a minor in English. He completed his Master of Arts in Religious Education and his Master of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Religion, majoring in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in New Testament at Baylor University. In addition, he has completed eighteen post-graduate hours in Higher Education Administration at Texas A&M, Commerce, and five units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) with the Baptist Health System in San Antonio.

Dr. Goodman came to Logsdon Seminary from Baptist University of the Américas, where he served as Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies and Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Enhancement. His work experience includes tenure as BSU Director at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, Part-time Lecturer at Baylor University and adjunct teaching assignments at Wayland Baptist University in San Antonio, University of Mary-Hardin Baylor and LeTourneau University in Austin. Dr. Goodman has also been a church planter and pastor of churches in Texas, and has served on the ministerial staff of churches in Alabama, Louisiana and Texas. He is a member of various professional organizations, including the Society of Biblical Literature and the Association of Ministry Guidance Professionals.
