M.A. Prerequsites & Foundational Curriculum

Admission to the Master of Arts in Family Ministry degree program requires the following prerequisite coursework:

Bible (2000-4000 level courses) (6 hrs)

Church History (3 hrs)

Doctrines (3 hrs)

Psychology (6 hrs) (Introduction to Psychology and one additional upper level course in Psychology. A course in Developmental Psychology is recommended.)

When Bible prerequisites are lacking, foundational curriculum in Bible (which includes “Introduction to the Bible,” “Interpreting the OT I & II,” and “Interpreting the NT I & II”) may be taken at the graduate level both to satisfy prerequisites AND to count towards degree requirements in OT and/or NT. All other prerequisites must be taken as additional hours beyond those required for the graduate degree.
